In Italy, it is common for estate agents to represent the seller's interests and that of the buyer in a role as ‘mediatore’ (mediator). In this capacity, the Italian mediatore charges commission to both the buyer and seller of a property.

In the Netherlands, it is customary for an estate agent to represent the interests of the seller or the buyer.

MijnHuisinItalie does what is common in the Netherlands. We advise Dutch people who want to buy a property in Italy. We do not sell properties. You pay MijnHuisinItalie for advice and guidance on the purchase and the seller pays the Italian selling broker for the sale. This allows us to focus 100% on looking after your interests as a buyer.
